Here I am, in the former Yugoslavia, 20 years after the war. I do not speak any of the local languages, but my host Milka taught me Thank you – Hvala.
I’m staying in a southern coastal town called Dobra Voda, which means “Good Water”. The water is good, and clear, but several other people also think so, so it is crowded with hundreds of holiday makers from rural Montenegro.
I took a boat trip to Budva, a nearby town half way up the coast, and will head to Kotor City tomorrow. Here is a photo of me on the tour boat with young guide Bratislav. Behind us is Sveti Stefan.
The coast line is very rocky, with several small outlying islands with churches perched upon them in the Adriatic Sea. A stunning coastline!
