French architect Le Corbusier called Turin ‘the city with the most beautiful natural location in the world’.
My new home is indeed a grand city of Baroque architecture, the capital of the Piedmont region! It manages to combine industry with greenery.

Turin (Torino to the Italians) is a cultured city with excellent art galleries, music and museums.

This is proving to be most distracting when I’m trying to study..

The region is famed for its white truffles – one of the most expensive foods on earth. Apparently the Slow Food Movement is based here.

The Alps seem so close that I could reach out and brush the snow off them, and I can’t wait to venture up there to ski or at lest just play in the fresh snow!
